At some point, every tree must eventually fall from reasons like age, disease, utility line clearance, community safety, or severe weather. 

Right now most of these valuable trees in our communities head to the Shelby County landfills where they rot, releasing carbon dioxide back into the atmosphere and contributing to climate change. 

We are diverting these carbon-banking beauties from the landfills into usable products, and we’re keeping track of the social, economic, and environmental impacts the entire way.
